AISDI
I founded, architected and continue to operate AISDI as an interconnected AI education and workforce capability system – spanning original methodologies, learning architecture, course production, delivery and partner enablement.
Independent consulting practice of Jan Viljoen
OOZLE is itself a system for creating further systems – learning systems, capability systems, human–AI work systems, and bespoke methods and operating frameworks.

About
I am an independent AI capability and learning consultant, systems thinker and builder. Over more than 25 years, I have created and operated professional learning, digital learning, EdTech and commercial systems. For the past four years, my work has focused on designing and operating AI-integrated capability, learning and human–AI systems.
My work spans requirements analysis, capability and learning architecture, human–AI interaction, framework and methodology development, product creation and operating implementation. OOZLE is the consulting identity through which I apply this capability beyond AISDI.
Selected engagements
Selected examples of work undertaken directly and, in most cases, through AISDI – spanning AI-integrated learning, workforce enablement and applied AI system design.

I founded, architected and continue to operate AISDI as an interconnected AI education and workforce capability system – spanning original methodologies, learning architecture, course production, delivery and partner enablement.

My ongoing work with FirstDigital spans workforce AI enablement, internal learning and customer-facing AI systems. This has included AI courses for staff and system-prompt design for customer bots, including a voice-based telesales training assistant.

I have delivered multiple presentations on applied AI and now provide specialised AI learning for members of South Africa’s skills-development sector, including QCTO providers, assessors and moderators.

I developed a bespoke professional-learning course now serving more than 1,200 learners. The course was approved by the Financial Planning Institute for continuing professional development credits.

I currently support a 70-person cohort through a structured, multi-course AI learning programme focused on practical workforce capability development.

I supplied my first commercial AI learning assistant to Snapplify in 2024. The same underlying assistant was deployed separately across more than 2,000 publisher e-books and, in another implementation, more than 300 video-based learning courses.
The central principle
The objective is not simply to produce a single output with AI. It is to create the architecture through which coherent outputs can be produced, used, governed and improved repeatedly.
A human–AI approach for defining requirements and designing, building, governing and evolving further systems.
Learning systems, capability systems, human–AI work systems, and bespoke frameworks or operating systems.
Courses, pathways, activities, workflows, decisions, tools, methods and other usable work-products.
Use, evidence and changed requirements become inputs to the next controlled iteration under human authority.
Recursive evolution is governed rather than autonomous: outputs, evidence and changed context feed the next controlled iteration, while human judgement, validation, versioning and accountability remain explicit.
Services
The client’s required outcome determines the lead service. Existing methods may enable the work, a new framework may be one deliverable, or the framework or system itself may be the assignment.
01
Transforming existing programmes, converting authoritative content into interactive learning systems, designing new AI-integrated education from the ground up, and establishing repeatable AI-enabled learning-production systems.
Explore AI-integrated education02
Translating organisational priorities, roles, workflows and use cases into capability requirements, differentiated pathways, practical enablement programmes and controlled renewal mechanisms.
Explore workforce AI capability03
Designing how people, AI, knowledge, workflows, decisions, authority and oversight fit together in actual work, then producing the operating models, artefacts and specifications needed to proceed.
View this service family04
Creating or strengthening client-specific frameworks and systems so that fragmented expertise or complex requirements become coherent, repeatable, governable, transferable and capable of renewal.
View this service familyDesigned for scale
Scale is not treated as volume alone. The system must remain coherent, usable and accountable as it produces more outputs, serves more contexts, or is transferred to other people.
01
The work does not have to be reconstructed from the beginning each time.
02
Components can be reused, combined, contextualised and extended.
03
Roles, processes, standards and artefacts can be understood and operated by others.
04
Source use, quality, human authority and approval remain explicit as the system grows.
05
Evidence and changed requirements can be incorporated without rebuilding everything.
06
The system can generate further programmes, frameworks, workflows, tools or work-products.
Applied work
AISDI is the most complete current applied system. XpertSkills shows that the systems-building record predates it by two decades.
AISDI
I conceived, built and operate the AI Skills Development Institute as an integrated capability and learning system. It includes capability and pathway architecture, an AI-integrated education system, a governed course-authoring and QA system, structured learning-activity development, and delivery and renewal mechanisms.
These connected systems produce courses, learning activities, assessments, pathways and supporting assets. More than 150 courses are published, authored or in development.
AISDI is a separate business. Its courses, learning system and delivery activities remain within AISDI.

Before AISDI, I founded and led XpertSkills for 20 years. I built an international online-learning operation, managed product, platform, partner, customer and delivery requirements, conceived an AI-supported skills-intelligence and course-recommendation system, and led development of a multi-tenant digital-learning platform.
